Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA as a minimum, and prefer Level AAA wherever the design and palette permit.

What this means in practice

  • All interactive elements meet a minimum 44 × 44 px tap target.
  • Text colour combinations meet WCAG 2.2 AA as a minimum.
  • Focus states are always visible and never removed.
  • Every form field has a visible label.
  • Every meaningful image has alternative text.
